The path of Zen is the path of Zen. Whether you have just gotten your first glimpse or you have plumbed the very depths; you are all traveling on the same path. You can take heart in the knowledge that whether or not you ever experience the fourth prajna of Buddhahood your journey will not be dull–or lonely. Even in the first glimmer of the universal mirror prajna you find that you are walking shoulder to shoulder with all of the buddhas and ancestors. You will be closer than breathing. So close, in fact, that Dogen himself takes a nap when you get tired.
